Required And Desired Skills

  • 8-10 years of experience in the Occupational Health and Safety field.
  • Post-secondary degree preferred.
  • Must have the needed official OHS qualifications as per local regulations if required in the country
  • Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plans and mitigate subsequent issues.
  • Must have good soft skills including good written communication skill.
  • Must be proficient in analyzing data for trends, developing and executing effective professional communications, and adult learning.
  • Should have experience working in a research and development environment or experience working in high-technology industries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and implementing written programs for the customers office as needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments for job tasks.
  • Investigating incidents.
  • Assisting work teams to implement hazard controls.
  • Managing hazardous waste compliance from hardware labs if/where needed
  • Maintaining required documents.
  • Helping to administer OHS tools like SDS database, training database, and injury reporting process.
  • Participating in the Employee Safety Committee and helping to direct the Committee's activities to ensure good engagement from employees.
  • Working with OHS Global Risk Manager to facilitate the Supplier Safety Community, to collaborate on safety and health issues with office vendor groups.
  • Standard business hours, onsite at customers site.
  • Opportunity to develop working relationships with many internal customer teams and various stakeholders in Facilities, HR, and Security.
  • Participating in meetings or having informal small groups or 1-on-1 discussions to understand requirements and deliver the required safety assessments.

  • Complete projects with little need for oversight.
  • Establish and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and act on improvement opportunities for the program.
  • Facilitate program communications and provide regular status reports to your manager and other stakeholders.
