📌 Job Overview

We're seeking an

Offshore Structural Design Engineer

with

5+ years experience

to design and analyze offshore structures for oil & gas, wind farms, and marine projects. You'll ensure structural integrity while optimizing designs for safety and cost-efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile

✔ Master's in Civil/Structural/Ocean Engineering✔ 5+ years offshore design experience✔ Expert in industry-standard software tools

🎯 Key Responsibilities

✔

Structural Analysis:

Perform FE analysis of fixed/floating offshore structures✔

Design Development:

Create detailed designs per API, DNV, and ISO standards✔

Load Calculations:

Determine environmental/wave/operational loads✔

Technical Reporting:

Prepare comprehensive design documentation✔

Project Coordination:

Work with cross-functional marine teams✔

Risk Assessment:

Conduct structural reliability analyses✔

Innovation:

Implement cutting-edge design methodologies

🛠 Must-Have Skills & Tools

Technical Expertise:

  • Offshore platform design (jackets, topsides, floaters)
  • Fatigue analysis & fracture mechanics
  • Seismic design considerations
  • Corrosion protection strategies

💻 Software Proficiency

  • SACS (Essential)
  • STAAD.Pro or ANSYS
  • MathCAD
  • AutoCAD/AVEVA Marine
  • PLS-CADD (for offshore wind)

📜 Standards Knowledge

  • API RP 2A
  • DNV-OS-C101
  • ISO 19900 series

🎓 Qualifications

✅ BE/BTech + MTech in Civil/Structural/Ocean Engineering✅ 5+ years in offshore structural design✅ Chartered Engineer status (preferred)✅ Offshore safety certifications (BOSIET, HUET - advantageous)
