Nursing In charge

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing In-Charge to lead and oversee nursing operations at our care home facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, coordinating with doctors and other healthcare professionals, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of nursing staff and caregivers.
• Ensure proper administration of medications and treatment plans as prescribed.
• Monitor residents’ health conditions and maintain accurate nursing records.
• Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, and other healthcare providers for patient care planning.
• Conduct regular training and development sessions for nursing and support staff.
• Ensure the facility complies with clinical and safety standards as per health regulations.
• Address patient or family concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Oversee infection control protocols and hygiene practices throughout the facility.
• Assist in preparing reports, audits, and documentation as required by management.
• Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and duty allocation to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing / GNM)
• Valid Nursing Council Registration
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience in a geriatric care or long-term care facility is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient safety standards
• Empathetic, patient-centered approach to care

Preferred Qualities:

• Prior experience in managing nursing operations in a care home or assisted living facility
• Ability to handle emergencies and critical care situations effectively
• Basic computer skills for report and documentation purposes
