Pricing, Reserving, and Capital Modelling


Key Responsibilities

Depending on level of experience and function assigned:

  • Support and lead work in

    pricing, reserving, or capital modelling

    for general insurance products.
  • Perform data analysis, build actuarial models, and generate insights to support business decisions.
  • Assist in

    regulatory reporting

    ,

    IFRS 17

    , and

    IRDAI submissions

    .
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, Product, and Risk teams to enhance pricing and portfolio profitability.
  • For senior roles: manage a small team, review technical work, and liaise with leadership on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience:

    0.6 – 10 years of actuarial experience in

    non-life/general insurance

    .
  • Actuarial Exams:

    Any papers cleared under IAI, IFoA, SOA, or equivalent — good to have but not mandatory.
  • Exposure to

    Pricing, Reserving, or Capital Modelling

    is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with

    Excel, R, Python, or actuarial software (ResQ, Emblem, Radar, etc.)

    .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
