Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive NOC Engineer to join our team at [Company Name], a leading Internet Service Provider. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network protocols and infrastructure, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage and support critical network operations. This role is central to ensuring uninterrupted service to our customers and maintaining network stability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and support the health and performance of core ISP network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS to ensure efficient routing and high availability.
  • Perform real-time analysis and resolution of network issues, including outages, performance degradation, or security threats.
  • Ensure network security best practices are followed, including firewall policies, access control, and vulnerability management.
  • Generate and analyze reports for network performance, incident trends, and service availability.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for issue escalation, root cause analysis, and resolution.
  • Maintain and update network documentation, change logs, and incident records.
  • Assist in planning and implementing network upgrades or new deployments under the guidance of the Technical Head.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to support strategic network initiatives and service improvements.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for incident response and emergency support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with ISP-grade network operations or similar NOC environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and related Layer 2/3 network technologies.
  • Strong experience with Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, or equivalent network devices.
  • Familiarity with firewall management, network security tools, and DDoS mitigation techniques.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, NAT, and VPN technologies.
  • Ability to manage incidents under pressure while communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
