New Product Development Specialist

Job Description: As a key member of the Bold Care team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and leading the development of packaging initiatives for the Category. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the New Product Development (NPD) process and packaging for all new launches and existing products. You will work closely with Brand Development and Supply Chain teams to ensure the successful execution of all sourcing and development activities for Bold Care Brands. Your duties will include managing packaging specification, developing optimal solutions for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging components, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders such as customers, suppliers, and partners. Additionally, you will focus on cost optimization by reducing packaging and product costs through new vendor developments and negotiations. You will be responsible for monitoring project timelines and milestones to ensure on-time delivery, as well as handling tasks such as PO generation, inventory management using tools like Zoho and Unicommerce, and quality control. Your role will also involve conducting research and development on new products, coordinating lab testing, and actively engaging with stakeholders from Marketing, Quality, Consumer Science, and Procurement to maintain a consumer-centric packaging research and development approach in all relevant initiatives and projects. In addition to your packaging expertise, you will contribute your skills in NPD projects, with at least 3-4 years of experience in Formulation, New Products, and an understanding of various packaging types including Flexible, Plastic bottles and containers, and Rigid Packaging. Experience in D2C/Consumer goods will be beneficial, and previous exposure to beauty/personal care, nutraceuticals, and FMCG industries will be advantageous. Monthly reporting and cost optimizations will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency in the packaging development process.
