Role Overview

end-to-end NPD lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Formulation

• Own the complete NPD lifecycle: concept → formulation → testing → scale-up → launch
• Work closely with R&D labs and manufacturers to optimize efficacy, stability, and sensorials

Clinical & Claims Validation

• Plan and execute in-vivo, in-vitro, and consumer studies
• Collaborate with dermatologists to build clinically relevant and credible claims

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Indian cosmetic regulations (CDSCO, BIS, Legal Metrology)
• Coordinate with regulatory consultants for approvals and documentation

Market & Consumer Insight

• Conduct competitive benchmarking (formulations, actives, claims, pricing)
• Identify white spaces in derma skin & hair categories

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Marketing, Design, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales teams
• Support scientific storytelling, training decks, FAQs, doctor education, and product launches

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of dermatological actives (acids, retinoids, peptides, antioxidants, hair actives)
• Hands-on experience in formulation development or formulation briefing
• Knowledge of clinical testing protocols & claims substantiation
• Familiarity with Indian regulatory frameworks (global exposure is a plus)

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in

  Pharmacy, Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Life Sciences

• Dermatology / cosmetology exposure is a strong advantage

Experience

• 4+ years

  in skincare, haircare, or cosmeceutical formulations
