Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

•Design, implement, and maintain physical and virtual server environments (Windows/Linux)

•Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure

•Oversee data canter operations, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans

•Evaluate, test, and deploy OS patches, firmware updates, and system upgrades

Cloud and Virtualization

• Manage hybrid and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
• Plan and execute cloud migration and optimization initiatives

Security & Compliance

• Enforce security best practices for systems and user access (AD, IAM, MFA, etc.)
• Collaborate with InfoSec teams to maintain compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA)
• Monitor and audit systems for vulnerabilities, performance issues, and anomalies

Automation & Monitoring

• Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible
• Implement monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG) for proactive issue resolution

Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as a technical lead in infrastructure projects and cross-functional teams
• Mentor and support junior admins, sharing best practices and documentation
• Collaborate with DevOps, Network, Security, and Application teams

Strategic Contributions

• Assess new technologies and vendors for suitability in enterprise environments
• Contribute to long-term IT strategy, budgeting, and capacity planning
• Draft and maintain detailed documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure diagrams

Certification:

• CCNA, Required. It should be in Active stage.
