Required Skills & Technical Expertise

Optical Transmission Network:

· 5 to 6 years mid to senior experience in the following areas:

Network engineering/ transformation experience in Telco

Network infrastructure link design, build & test

circuit provisioning & assurance support – Root cause analysis

Network data remediation, transformation & migration (ETL) activities.

· Knowledge on DWDM, OTN and SDH

· Knowledge of Optical Transport Network (OTN):

Ø Understand the OTN model in ITU G.709 "Interfaces for the Optical Transport Network (OTN)

· Knowledge and experience of Ciena:

Ø Knowledge of using network management tool MCP to trace the circuit configuration and routing

preferably WaveServer, 6500 and 51xx series

· Knowledge and experience of Infinera:

Ø Knowledge of using network management tool DNA to trace the circuit configuration and routing

Infinera devices preferably DTNX, G42 and G30

· Knowledge and experience of network inventory:

Ø Knowledge of network inventory preferably Ciena BluePlanet

· Ability to document standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials for end users

· Hands-on experience with Infinera (e.g., DTN-X, GX Series) and Ciena (e.g., 6500, Waveserver) platforms.

· Strong understanding of DWDM, ROADM, OTN, and Ethernet over Optical technologies.

· Familiarity with network element management systems and inventory tools.
