Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to establish and manage secure remote network connectivity with our clients’ networks over the internet. The role involves configuring clients firewalls, port forwarding, setting up routes through clients static IPs, and ensuring secure remote connections. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting connectivity issues and maintaining reliable, secure communication between client sites and monitoring stations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure port forwarding on routers and firewalls for client system to enable secure remote access.
• Set up and manage static and public IP addressing for client networks.
• Implement VPN tunnels, NAT, and firewall rules for secure remote connections between client sites and control centers.
• Diagnose and resolve remote connectivity and bandwidth issues related to camera or NVR access.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewall and network gateways (e.g., Mikrotik, Cisco, TP-Link, Fortigate, Sophos, Sonic wall etc.).
• Maintain detailed records of network configurations, IP maps, and firewall rules for each client.
• Test and verify remote access functionality (via mobile apps, web interfaces, or client software).
• Coordinate with ISPs for static IP assignments, router configurations, or connection troubleshooting.
• Apply network security best practices to protect CCTV infrastructure from unauthorized access.
• Provide remote technical support as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in computer, Networking, IT, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Mikrotik MTCNA, Fortinet NSE) preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing.
• Proficient in port forwarding, firewall configuration, and VPN setup.
• Knowledge of remote access and dynamic DNS (DDNS) systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting LAN/WAN and internet-based connections.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Clear communication with clients (remote troubleshooting support).
• Good documentation and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in network administration.
• Hands-on experience configuring networks, firewalls, port forwarding, network security, routers and switches.
