About The Role

• Provide comprehensive OPD and inpatient obstetrics & gynaecology care including antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal management.
• Perform and lead obstetric and gynaecological surgeries—elective and emergency Caesarean sections, laparoscopic procedures and operative gynaecology.
• Manage high-risk pregnancies and acute obstetric emergencies with timely decision-making and escalation to multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nursing staff and trainees in labour ward protocols, surgical technique and perioperative care.
• Oversee fetal monitoring, newborn stabilization and coordinate with neonatal teams for timely referral or escalation.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation, adherence to hospital protocols, infection control and participation in morbidity & mortality reviews.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) or DGO
• Registration with the National Medical Commission / State Medical Council
• Proven competence in Caesarean section and emergency obstetric care
• Proficiency in laparoscopic gynaecological procedures
• Skilled in obstetric ultrasound and intrapartum fetal monitoring (CTG/NST)
• Certification or training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation
  

Preferred

• Experience in colposcopy and OPD-based minor procedures
• Exposure to high-volume tertiary or private hospital settings handling busy labour wards
• Training in emergency obstetric life support or maternal-fetal medicine exposure
