Position Title: QMS Engineer

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Management

Location: Kelawade ,Bhor,Pune

Reporting To: HOD/MD

Position Summary:

The QMS Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. This role ensures that quality processes are standardized, effective, and continuously improved to meet internal and external requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining and updating the QMS documentation (manuals, procedures, work instructions, forms).
• Participate in internal and external audits (IATF, ISO, customer).
• Support the Management Representative in preparing for certification and surveillance audits.
• Monitor and report process performance indicators (KPIs).
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Implement and maintain document control processes.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSRs).
• Provide support for the implementation of automotive core tools:
• APQP
• PPAP
• FMEA
• MSA
• SPC
• Support training programs related to QMS, core tools, and audit readiness.
• Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supplier quality teams to ensure QMS compliance.

Key Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical field.

Experience:

• 2–5 years experience in a quality or QMS role in automotive manufacturing.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and core tools.
• Experience in internal auditing and documentation.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of QMS principles and automotive quality standards.
• Working knowledge of process auditing techniques.
• Proficient in MS Office, and QMS or ERP software.
• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications:

• Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 or ISO 9001
• Training in Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
