Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Moulding Machines (Automobile Industry) Department: Maintenance Location: Kelawade,Pune, Maharashtra Reports To: Maintenance Manager Job Purpose: To maintain and ensure the optimal performance of moulding machines (e.g., injection moulding, blow moulding, die casting) and associated auxiliary equipment in the automotive manufacturing process. Responsible for minimizing downtime, ensuring product quality, and extending machine life through preventive and breakdown maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding/die-casting machines, robots, chillers, mould temperature controllers (MTC), and other auxiliaries. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues in moulding equipment. Ensure proper alignment, clamping, and ejection systems on moulds to avoid damage or quality issues. Conduct mould changeovers and adjustments as per production requirements. Monitor machine performance and implement improvements to reduce cycle time and scrap rate. Maintain documentation of maintenance schedules, breakdowns, and repairs in CMMS or manual logs. Coordinate with the tool room and production teams for mould maintenance and replacement. Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards in maintenance activities. Support installation and commissioning of new moulding machines or automation systems.
