Role Description

Motion Graphics Designer

You will collaborate closely with designers, copywriters and creative directors to ideate and execute animated visuals that align seamlessly with Graphē’s creative vision and client goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Motion Design & Conceptualisation

• Ideate and execute compelling motion graphics for social media, marketing films, invitations, explainer videos, and branding content.
• Translate still designs into animated pieces that enhance storytelling and visual engagement.
• Work on both

  2D motion

  and

  mixed-media design

  , incorporating illustration, typography, and visual effects creatively.
• Demonstrate a

  strong understanding of design styles, art movements, and visual trends

  , applying them innovatively across projects.
• Ensure all animations align with brand aesthetics, tone, and campaign objectives.

2. Design Sensibility & Execution

• Maintain strong command over

  composition, layout, typography, colour and pacing

  in motion.
• Understand the

  design-to-motion workflow

  , collaborating with graphic designers to optimise artwork for animation.
• Develop original

  motion concepts

  that enhance storytelling, not just decorate it.
• Create transitions, kinetic typography and visual storytelling that feel purposeful and polished.
• Adapt design language to various platforms - Instagram Reels, YouTube, websites and digital ads.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to conceptualise and execute motion ideas aligned with campaign goals.
• Work alongside invitation designers to animate wedding and event invites in cohesive, emotionally engaging ways.
• Interpret creative briefs, contribute to brainstorming sessions, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
• Ensure smooth coordination between design, animation and post-production workflows.

4. Research & Trend Awareness

• Stay ahead of motion design and visual storytelling trends across industries and platforms.
• Study global and Indian design sensibilities to craft motion that feels culturally nuanced and visually modern.
• Draw inspiration from cinema, fashion, architecture and art building a deep visual vocabulary that reflects in your work.

5. Technical Skills & Tools

• Proficiency in

  After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop

  and other motion design tools.
• Familiarity with

  sound design principles

  to enhance motion storytelling.
• Proficient in using

  AI tools

  to automate redundant tasks, streamline workflows, and enhance creative efficiency.
• Strong understanding of

  AI-powered design and motion tools

  for improved visual quality, smarter ideation, and faster execution of concepts.
• Understanding of

  file optimisation

  and best practices for delivering across formats and platforms.
• (Bonus) Basic knowledge of 3D motion tools or compositing software is a plus.
