The standard is working with smallholder tea growers, bought leaf factories, estates and packers to address some of the key challenges in the industry including working conditions, health and safety of tea workers, water pollution, food safety, soil erosion and contamination. Trustea Sustainable Tea Foundation is a Section 8 company that independently manages the trustea program. The program is funded by the leading tea retailing companies.

MEL and Implementation Quality (Manager/Dy Manager)

Position: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Implementation Quality (Manager/ Dy Manager)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø Establish the on-going monitoring and evaluation system with appropriate LFA

Ø Develop & supervise an on-going monitoring and evaluation strategy

Ø Ensuring that M&E plan is modified and updated as improved information becomes available (updating indicators, baseline and targets upon the receipt of information from technical studies and in-take surveys)

Ø Ensuring that management staff and programmes and donors are receiving adequate support to execute their M&E responsibilities (providing monitoring and evaluation training of staff and programme implementers)

Ø Support the implementation of Key Performance Indicators

Ø Consolidate monthly, quarterly, semi-annual & annual programmatic reports.

Ø Manage and ensure accuracy and quality of monitoring data reported at all levels.

Ø Manage all incoming data to ensure accuracy and adherence to set quality standards.

Ø Maintain the databases and oversee routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity.

Ø Mentor and supervise the all M&E related agencies/resources

Ø Streamline data collection and analysis procedure to ensure fast access to data and/or information.

Ø Suggest ways to facilitate collection and the flow of data within the different programmes;

Ø Preparing Terms of Reference and conducting procurement of various M&E contracts (Management Information Systems, data quality review etc.)

Ø Conduct impact assessments to evaluate the long-term effects on landscapes, livelihoods, and community well-being.

Ø Assess the maintain the quality of the internal and by certification bodies

Ø Shadow the resources during assessments and update the improvement plans and findings

Ø Carry out training and performance reviews of the resources as required

Ø Identify and implement improvement opportunities from the MEL reviews and report on the same

Ø Ensure impartiality of the M&E process to uphold the credibility of the reporting

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

Ø Graduate /Postgraduate in

Ø Experience of working on MEL systems with Development agencies /international donors/sustainability systems/organizational MEL functions.

Ø Fluent in English and Microsoft Suite.

Ø Preference for candidates with experience in tea or other agro- commodities.
