Missiles - Production Head

Purpose/Objective

Adani Defence is looking for a dynamic and experienced Production Head to lead and manage the end-to-end manufacturing and integration operations for multiple missile projects in a high-performance facility. This role demands strategic oversight, operational excellence and hands-on leadership to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across diverse production lines.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement production strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring that customer aspirations and requirements of DRDO stakeholders are met. Oversee daily operations across multiple product categories, ensuring optimal resource utilization and workflow efficiency. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to align production with design and delivery targets. Monitor KPIs such as throughput, yield, downtime, and quality metrics across all categories. Ensure adherence to production timelines, cost targets, and safety standards. Ensure compliance with MIL STDs, JSS, JSG, CEMILAC and all other relevant quality standards. Implement robust quality control systems and root cause analysis for defects. Liaise with internal and external QA/QC agencies, like DGQA, MSQAA, NAI and any other as relevant to the project, to maintain high standards and timely clearances. Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and other process improvement initiatives. Evaluate and implement automation, digital tools and smart manufacturing practices. Ensure implementation and continuous adherence to safety standards, especially during integration, storage and transport of explosives. Keeping abreast of latest regulatory norms and standards applicable to the field and ensure readiness of plant for internal and external audits at all times. Supervision, guidance and training of workers handling explosive material, while ensuring their safety at work.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications: Educational Qualifications: Must: B Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field Desirable: M Tech or Equivalent Degree in related field Relevant Experience: Must: Minimum of 14 years of experience in production. Desirable: Experience with BDL/ DRDO or any other missile assembly, integration, testing or MRO facility shall be preferred.
