Job Summary:

The MIS Executive will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting on all critical data within the Supply Chain function (including Procurement, Inventory, Logistics, and Warehouse Operations). This role is vital for providing accurate, timely, and insightful management information to drive strategic decision-making, optimize efficiency, and reduce operational costs.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Reporting:

    • Collect, compile, and clean data from various Supply Chain sources (ERP systems, WMS, TMS, spreadsheets, etc.).

    • Design, develop, and generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and dashboards for management on key performance indicators (KPIs).

    • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all supply chain data across multiple systems.

  • Analysis & Insights:

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of supply chain metrics such as Inventory Levels, Warehouse Utilization, Logistics Costs, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Supplier Performance.

    • Identify trends, anomalies, and root causes for performance variations, offering data-driven recommendations for process improvement.

    • Support forecasting and demand planning activities by providing historical data analysis.

  • System & Process Support:

    • Maintain and troubleshoot MIS tools and reporting platforms specific to the Supply Chain.

    • Collaborate with the IT department and cross-functional teams to automate reporting processes and implement new data collection methodologies.

    • Create and maintain documentation for all MIS reports, processes, and data definitions.

  • Ad-Hoc Requests:

    • Handle ad-hoc data requests and deep-dive analysis as required by Supply Chain leadership and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.

  • Experience: [Insert Number] years of proven experience as an MIS Executive, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably within a Supply Chain or Logistics environment.

  • Technical Proficiency (Must-Haves):

    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, logical functions, data modeling, etc.).

    • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their data structures related to supply chain modules.

    • Strong knowledge of database management and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.


  • Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • High attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio).

  • Knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and common industry KPIs.

  • Experience with process automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, or VBA).
