Microsoft Fabric OneLake Consultant

Parth Infotech is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microsoft Fabric OneLake Consultant to join our data solutions team in Pune. This hybrid role requires an expert in Microsoft's unified data analytics platform, specifically focusing on designing, implementing, and optimizing data architectures around the OneLake data lakehouse concept. You will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their data modernization journey, leveraging Fabric to consolidate disparate data sources and deliver actionable insights at scale.Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data platforms using Microsoft Fabric components (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Spark), with OneLake as the central data foundation.
• Data Engineering: Develop and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Dataflows Gen2, Spark Notebooks (PySpark/Scala/SQL), and pipeline activities to manage data flow into and out of OneLake.
• Data Modeling & Storage Optimization: Implement the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) and manage data storage formats (Delta Lake), partitioning, and data lifecycle within OneLake for enhanced performance and cost efficiency.
• Data Governance & Security: Define and enforce comprehensive data governance, security, and compliance frameworks using Microsoft Purview integration and Fabric security models (RBAC, sensitivity labels).
• Integration & Analytics Enablement: Ensure seamless integration between OneLake data and Power BI, utilizing the efficient Direct Lake mode for reporting, and enabling self-service analytics capabilities for business users.
• Performance Tuning & Cost Management: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement strategies for capacity optimization and cost control within the Microsoft Fabric environment.
• Consulting & Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide expert technical guidance, manage project delivery, and ensure solutions align with strategic business objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
• [5-8] years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture, or BI consulting roles.
• Proven, hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric and its core components, especially OneLake and Lakehouse architecture.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python/PySpark, and modern data modeling methodologies (e.g., Kimball, Data Vault).
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, Delta Lake formats, and data lake principles.
• Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git integration) for data platform development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing consulting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).
• Experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance.
• Knowledge of real-time analytics scenarios within Fabric.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced professional services or consulting firm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
