Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Microsoft Azure Data & AI Engineer with a strong foundation in .NET, Python, and modern data and AI technologies. The ideal candidate will architect and deliver intelligent, scalable solutions using Azure’s advanced data and AI capabilities, while collaborating with globally distributed teams. 

This is a remote role, with occasional travel required for project deployments, workshops, and stakeholder meetings. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement scalable data platforms using Azure services including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Microsoft Fabric 
• Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time data ingestion workflows using Python and/or .NET 
• Build and operationalize AI/ML models using Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Azure OpenAI 
• Integrate ML and data services with enterprise applications via APIs and microservices using Python (FastAPI) or .NET Core 
• Collaborate with data scientists, solution architects, and business teams to deploy intelligent solutions 
• Implement security, compliance, and governance measures for sensitive data across Azure workloads 
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps 
• Monitor performance, optimize costs, and ensure high availability of data and AI platforms 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• 5+ years of experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB) 
• Proficiency in Python and .NET Core for data engineering and backend development 
• Hands-on experience in end-to-end AI/ML pipelines on Azure Machine Learning 
• Understanding of modern data architectures (lakehouse, delta, medallion) and unstructured data processing 
• Exposure to Generative AI tools such as Azure OpenAI and Cognitive Services 
• Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and advanced data visualization methods 
• Experience with SQL, performance tuning, and large-scale data transformations 
• Familiarity with containerized deployments, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code tools like ARM, Bicep, or Terraform 
• Deep understanding of RBAC, PII/PHI security, data encryption, and Azure governance 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Microsoft Certifications (e.g., DP-203, AI-102, AZ-204, AZ-400) 
• Knowledge of LangChain, Vector DBs, or RAG pipelines 
• Experience with Data Mesh, MLOps, or Enterprise AI deployment strategies
