Metallurgist

At ABOK Spring, we specialize in the manufacturing of precision-engineered hot coiled springs for railway and industrial applications. As a fast-growing, quality-driven company trusted by global OEMs, we’re seeking a skilled Metallurgist to join our team and drive innovation, quality control, and material performance across our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: • Optimize metallurgical processes including hardening, tempering, shot peening, and quenching. • Conduct metallurgical testing: microstructure analysis, hardness testing, tensile testing, etc. • Monitor and improve product quality through root cause analysis and corrective action. • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure consistent material performance. • Interpret standards (e.g., EN, IS, UIC) and customer-specific specifications for compliance. • Lead failure analysis of springs and recommend metallurgical improvements. • Maintain documentation and reports for traceability and audits. Requirements: • Diploma or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering. • 1 years of experience in metallurgy, preferably in heavy engineering or spring manufacturing. • Hands-on knowledge of heat treatment processes and steel metallurgy. • Experience with metallurgical lab equipment (optical microscope, hardness testers, etc.). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Familiarity with ISO/TS standards is a plus.
