Metallurgist

As a Metallurgist at Motherson Health & Medical, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our super alloy products. Here's what you'll do: - Develop and implement advanced manufacturing techniques for super alloys like Kovar, Inconel, Ceramic, Nickel, TZM, Molybdenum, Zirconium in processes including joining, cleaning, deep draw, stamping, and machining. - Conduct research and development activities to enhance existing manufacturing processes and create new ones based on customer and process requirements. - Analyze metallurgical data to detect trends and provide recommendations for process enhancements. - Investigate failures in super alloys, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend solutions promptly. - Collaborate with various departments to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective measures. - Monitor and regulate manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality. - Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures aligned with customer and process needs. - Offer technical guidance and support to production personnel for selecting appropriate capital equipment, measuring equipment, and process optimization. What we are looking for: Qualifications: - PhD / Masters or Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related field. Experience: - Minimum 5-10 years of experience in super alloy joining, cleaning, stamping, deep draw, and machining. Skills: - Profound understanding of metallurgical principles and processes. - Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing techniques like hot isostatic pressing (HIP), electron beam welding (EBW), Hydrogen furnace usage, Brazing furnace, and various Brazing methods. - Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), non-destructive testing, destructive testing methods, and quality control techniques. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
