MERN Stack Developer (Intern)

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate MERN Stack Developer Intern who is eager to learn and contribute to real-world projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with JavaScript, the MERN stack, modern development workflows, and AI-powered coding tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.You will work closely with our engineering team to build scalable applications, automate workflows, and contribute to improving our CI/CD pipeline and cloud infrastructure.Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js/Next.js, Node.js).
• Work with Next.js for server-side rendering, routing, API routes, and performance optimization.
• Use AI development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codeium, etc.) to speed up development and improve code quality.
• Collaborate via GitHub for version control, pull requests, code reviews, and branching workflows.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Support cloud deployments on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs, optimize performance, and improve user experience.
• Work with APIs, database schemas, and server-side logic.
• Participate in sprint discussions, documentation, and technical brainstorming sessions.
  

Required Skills

• Good understanding of JavaScript, ES6+, and asynchronous programming.
• Basic to intermediate experience with the MERN stack:
• MongoDB
• Express.js
• React.js / Next.js
• Node.js
• Familiarity with Git & GitHub workflows (clone, commit, push, pull requests).
• Experience using AI coding tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
• Basic knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
  

Good to Have (Optional)

• Knowledge of Docker or containerized apps.
• Experience working with Tailwind CSS or Material UI.
• Understanding of JWT authentication and role-based access control.
• Experience with AWS EC2, S3, and Vercel.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development.
  

Eligibility

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• Basic project portfolio (GitHub links, live projects, or assignments).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
