MERN Stack Developer (Next.js)

As a MERN Stack Developer at our company, you will be responsible for working across the stack to develop modern, high-performing, and user-friendly web applications. You will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers. Your key responsibilities will include frontend development tasks such as building interactive UI components using React.js and Next.js, implementing SSR (Server-Side Rendering), ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration), and dynamic routing using Next.js, converting Figma/design mockups into responsive front-end components, and optimizing UI performance and accessibility across devices. On the backend side, you will be developing APIs using Node.js and Express.js, handling CRUD operations and data modeling with MongoDB using Mongoose, integrating third-party services and libraries as needed, and implementing secure authentication and role-based access control. You will also be expected to follow Git-based version control and branching workflows, participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployments, use modern tools like Cursor, VS Code Live Share, Prettier, and ESLint to improve collaboration and code quality, and work in Agile teams with sprints, standups, and regular feedback loops. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of full-stack development experience using the MERN stack, solid experience with React.js, Next.js, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Mongoose, and proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. Familiarity with Cursor or other pair-programming tools, understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous programming, and familiarity with Git, GitHub/GitLab workflows are also required. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills are essential. Experience with TypeScript, deploying apps on platforms like Vercel, Netlify, or Heroku, basic understanding of CI/CD, cloud functions, or serverless architecture, and exposure to testing frameworks like Jest or React Testing Library would be considered a bonus. In addition to technical skills, soft skills such as clear communication and the ability to explain technical concepts, as well as being a collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, are important for this role.,
