MERN Stack Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)
• Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable frontend components using React.js
• Implement business logic using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Design and manage databases using PostgreSQL (schema design, queries, performance tuning)
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver features
• Write unit tests, debug issues, and optimize existing code
• Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering practices
• Maintain proper documentation for code and APIs
  

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience as a MERN Stack / Full Stack Developer
• Strong fundamentals of JavaScript - Closures, Hoisting, Event Loop, Promises, Async/Await
• Advanced JavaScript concepts - Design patterns, performance optimization, memory management
• TypeScript - Types, interfaces, generics, strict typing in real-world projects
• Node.js - Building scalable APIs, middleware, authentication, error handling
• React.js - Hooks, state management, component lifecycle, reusable components
• PostgreSQL - Database design, joins, indexing, query optimization
• Git (Very Strong Required) ○ Branching strategies (Git Flow), pull requests, conflict resolution
• Experience working in collaborative Git-based environments (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and HTTP protocols
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS Cloud Services - EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, basic networking concepts
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines - GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Exposure to Docker or containerization
• Experience with system design and scalability considerations
• Knowledge of basic security best practices (JWT, OAuth, OWASP concepts)
