Job Description

Job Title: Merchant Operations Analyst

Key Responsibilities / Key Result Areas

Merchant Setup & Maintenance

Process merchant onboarding accurately as per merchant setup forms.
Handle update/maintenance requests received from merchants and Relationship Managers (RMs).
Track daily reports and update internal tracking files.

Financial Processing & Reconciliation

Prepare daily financial vouchers related to merchant payments, refunds, recoveries, and settlements.
Perform daily reconciliation of merchant payments, payables, and receivables.
Reprocess rejected transactions and ensure accurate financial adjustments including fee reversals, debit/credit adjustments.
Maintain financial records in accordance with bank regulations.

Query Handling & Coordination

Handle all merchant-related queries promptly.
Coordinate with Visa, MasterCard, vendors, service providers, and other associations for transaction-processing issues.
Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Business, FRMU, Disputes, MSU, and others to resolve settlement-related issues.

Incentive & Reporting

Prepare incentive calculations for merchants and RMs.
Support MIS reporting and data analysis activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Good understanding of general banking processes.
13 years of experience in cards domain / merchant acquiring operations (setup, maintenance, payments).
Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, MIS, and reporting.
