Merchandiser

Ornate Jewels, Kota is seeking an experienced Merchandising & Inventory Lead to optimize product flow and presentation for our showroom.

Summary

This role focuses exclusively on managing inventory health, optimizing product assortment, and executing visual merchandising strategies to maximize sales and brand compliance. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in high-end retail merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Optimization: Minimize stock ageing, increase inventory turnover, manage stock replenishment, and conduct detailed stock analysis.
• Product Sourcing: Manage supplier relationships (securing favorable terms, pricing), handle vendor assessment, oversee quality assessment, and minimize returns.
• Visual Merchandising: Execute Planogram management, oversee in-store display and photography presentation, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
• Product Planning: Coordinate product selection for new collections (working with designers); manage the design bank.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing and stay updated on market developments.
• Reporting: Prepare accurate MIS reports related to inventory and product performance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in a merchandising, inventory management, or buying role within luxury or high-value retail (e.g., high-end fashion, watches, specialized goods).
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of merchandising principles and consumer preferences.
• Analytical: Proficiency in MS Office, strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
