Role Overview: You are sought after to join the fashion team as a Merchandiser with a strong understanding of fashion trends, fabric sourcing, vendor management, and sales strategies. Your role will involve playing a key part in product planning, inventory management, and ensuring alignment with consumer preferences and market demand. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute merchandising strategies to enhance brand positioning and drive sales. - Conduct market research to identify upcoming fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. - Source fabrics, trims, and raw materials, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. - Plan and manage the product assortment, pricing, and inventory levels to optimize sales and minimize stockouts. - Work closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure timely product development and launch. - Monitor sales performance and analyze data to make informed decisions on product selection and stock movement. - Oversee visual merchandising and ensure products are displayed in an appealing manner across retail and e-commerce platforms. - Negotiate with vendors for pricing, quality, and delivery timelines. - Ensure products meet quality standards and align with brand aesthetics. - Manage seasonal collections, promotions, and markdown strategies. Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, Business, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum 5 years in fashion merchandising, buying, or retail planning. - Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and fashion supply chains. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. - Proficiency in Excel, ERP, and merchandising software. - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. - Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail.
