Adhya Design (www.adhyadesign.com) is one of Indias leading design and production houses specialising in contemporary home decor and bespoke items, rooted in Indian craftsmanship. Founded in 2012, the company collaborates closely with master artisans, reviving ancient skills such as sand casting, hand hammering, and metal patina, and reimagining them for the modern world. We use a variety of materials such as brass, aluminium, stainless steel, bone, semi-precious stones, wood, etc.

To support our growing operations, we are looking for smart and dynamic Merchandisers to join our team and play a vital role in day-to-day merchandising, coordination, and client handling. Experience in a similar role/industry is preferable but not necessary, as long as you have the skills we are looking for!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Order Management & Buyer Coordination:

• End-to-end order management—liaise with international and domestic clients and take responsibility of orders from sample development to final shipment, ensuring all requirements are understood, documented, and met.
• Prepare costing, quotes, and order processing sheets, and coordinate with buyers on order modifications.

2. Internal Coordination:

• Interface daily with design, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely progression of orders.
• Follow up with each department against timelines, resolving obstacles proactively and escalating when necessary.

3. Reporting:

• Track and record all purchase order data using the inhouse software (costs, status updates, modifications, all correspondence, etc.)
• Proactively analyse data to optimise order processing and help drive company growth and development.

4. Sample & Quality Handling:

• Oversee sample development—work closely with design and production to create prototypes meeting buyer specifications.
• Coordinate inspection, compliance checks, and documentation prior to shipping.

5. Buyer & Supplier Communication:

• Communicate fluently in English (written and spoken) for all correspondence with buyers, suppliers, internal team, and shipping partners.
• Handle buyer portals, including document uploads and status updates (experience with TradeStone, GT Nexus, or similar platforms a plus).

6. Continuous Learning & Growth:

• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging markets, and client preferences.
• Be proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and open to continuous learning and improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 0–4 years' relevant experience:

  previous background in merchandising for hardgoods, home decor, or related exports is a strong plus.

• Educational Qualifications: MBA (required) + Graduation with Mathematics as a subject.

• Strong Knowledge of

  MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT), Power BI, Tableau, Google Workspace and web-based buyer platforms

• Excellent

  interpersonal and written/verbal communication

  skills (

  English

  required).
• Positive, growth-oriented attitude; able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience with international business culture and logistics for major export destinations (US, UK, EU, Middle East, Asia) is a plus.
