Job Overview: We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join our team (Kolkata region). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing apparel that aligns with the brand’s identity, current fashion trends, and customer preferences. You will work closely with the production and merchandising teams to turn concepts into final garments that meet both creative and commercial objectives. Key Responsibilities: Research current fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and techniques to develop new and innovative designs. Conceptualize and sketch original designs for seasonal collections. Create detailed tech packs, fabric selections, and color boards. Collaborate with pattern makers, merchandisers, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality standards. Oversee sample development and participate in fittings and design revisions. Maintain strong awareness of market trends and competitors’ products. Ensure brand consistency across all design outputs. Present collections to management and buyers with clear creative rationale. Manage timelines to deliver designs within collection deadlines. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design , Textile Design , or related field. 2–5 years of experience in apparel design (kidswear / menswear / womenswear — depending on your brand). Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or CLO 3D . Strong sense of color, texture, and fabric properties. Excellent sketching and visualization skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and production processes. Strong communication and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Experience with kidswear / premium cotton apparel / export brands . Knowledge of sustainable fabrics or eco-friendly production methods. Previous experience working with retail or e-commerce fashion brands.
