Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Ahmedabad for a MEP Project Engineer. The MEP Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of projects. Day-to-day tasks include managing project timelines, ensuring quality control, overseeing the installation and integration of MEP systems, and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. The role also involves regular site visits to monitor progress and address any technical or administrative challenges.

Responsibilities:

• MEP Engineer is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications per the project’s requirements.
• MEP Engineer is accountable for managing to oversee the work of subordinate staff.
• MEP Engineer should prepare plans along with the specified and estimated cost of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and general piping system.
• Advise the staff designer, supervisor, inspector and contract service provider regarding the installation and maintenance of the MEP system.
• Analyze mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering problems & solutions.
• Identify issues in the design, planning, management and delivering multiple projects.
• Preparing and delivering effective presentations.
• Communicate with the Project Director regarding any technical glitch that might hamper the construction progress.
• Continually review the construction schedule during the progress of the site works regarding MEP services and report to the Project Director.
• MEP Design Engineer has to manage the day-to-day work of the MEP team.
• Take part in risk workshops and report any risks associated with MEP installations or general projects to the Project Director.
• MEP Engineers must prepare technical clarifications to suit on-site construction and coordination issues.
• MEP Engineer has to monitor electrical safety.
• Record and report any breaches to the Project Manager.

Education:

• Mandatory: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering

Experience:

• Years: 3 to 6 years.
• Candidate should have experience of working as Billing Engineer in Government Projects
• Industry: Civil Project Management Companies / Construction Companies
• Preferably completed billing of one or two projects from start to final bill.
