MEP Design Plumbing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive plumbing system designs including water supply, drainage, stormwater, and medical gas systems (for healthcare).
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
• Review and ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, UPC, and international standards as applicable.
• Coordinate with architectural and structural teams for service integration.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide technical input during planning and execution.
• Perform site visits to ensure installation aligns with design intent and quality standards.
• Manage documentation including BOQs, technical reports, compliance documents, and as-built drawings.
• Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure technical compatibility and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure designs incorporate sustainability and water conservation principles wherever feasible.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Diploma holders with strong experience may also be considered).

• 3–8 years

  of relevant experience in plumbing design, particularly for

  infrastructure and healthcare facilities

  .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; knowledge of Revit MEP and BIM coordination is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with local building codes (IS, NBC) and international standards (ASHRAE, IPC, NFPA).
• Experience working on hospitals, laboratories, data centers, or similar high-specification infrastructure is preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
