We are seeking a skilled and strategic Medical Communication Writer to lead content development across scientific, branded, and consumer-friendly formats. This role involves scientific communication, medical storytelling, and omnichannel asset creation for pharma, medical device, and healthcare clients.
You’ll be responsible for clinical evidence summarization, brand strategy alignment, and regulatory-compliant content for internal and external communication. This is a client-facing role and involves working with graphic designers, statisticians, IT, and cross-functional teams.
· Draft, review, and edit high-quality content: research summaries, visual aids, video scripts, IVAs, brochures, web copy, etc.
· Interpret complex clinical/scientific data and translate into HCP, patient, and consumer-friendly formats.
· Align content with brand strategy and therapeutic positioning for branded and non-branded campaigns.
· Lead content planning across omnichannel pharma journeys.
· Collaborate with creative, data, and development teams to ensure integrated delivery.
· Participate in client discussions and strategy meetings; guide junior writers with reviews and training.
· Ensure scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and consistency across all deliverables.
· Master’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacology, or a related field.
· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in scientific writing, content development, or medical communications.
· Proven experience working with branded pharma content and omnichannel communication assets.
· Demonstrated skill in simplifying complex science for patients and general audiences.
· Experience managing junior writers and reviewing their content.
· Strong writing and storytelling abilities tailored to Indian healthcare, wellness, or pharma context
· Experience in writing for brand campaigns, patient awareness, and public health communications
· Scientific writing and clinical content summarization
· Patient-friendly and HCP content development
· Strong grammar and medical writing structure
· Omnichannel pharma asset familiarity (IVAs, emailers, videos, brochures)
· Excellent research, referencing, and communication skills
· Ability to write with clarity, empathy, and cultural relevance
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (client-facing readiness)
· Comfortable with working on cross-format content (PPTs, websites, PDFs, HTML, etc.)
· Strong attention to detail and structured feedback delivery skills
· Exposure to regulatory writing, submission docs, or Veeva
· Experience in therapeutic branding or strategy consulting
· Regional content adaptation/translation workflows
· Familiarity with medical design workflows and digital medical formats
