Medical Affairs Manager - Oncology

Typical Accountabilities

• Serve as a country or regional expert supporting the Medical Affairs function and project teams within a defined area of expertise
• Act as a senior technical authority and primary knowledge source within the therapeutic or functional specialty
• Design and deliver training programs for junior team members, ensuring alignment with industry best practices
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards for Medical Affairs activities, ensuring full compliance with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with senior Medical Affairs colleagues to execute the regional or national medical strategy in the relevant therapeutic area
• Lead or support specialized research projects and develop internal reports for presentation at internal or external meetings
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on best practices, scientific developments, and regulatory changes, and ensure the same for the wider team

People Management Responsibilities

Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in a life sciences or healthcare-related field
• In-depth knowledge and relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry and Medical Affairs functions

Desirable:

• Advanced scientific degree (e.g., MD
• Broad understanding of multiple aspects of Medical Affairs, including compliance, clinical development, and stakeholder engagement
• Project management experience or certification is an added advantage
