Mechanical Procurement Engineer

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Procurement Engineer with experience in procurement of mechanical equipment and components for Water Treatment Plants (WTP) or similar infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and procuring mechanical systems, machinery, and materials to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery in alignment with project requirements.

Salary: 6 LPA - 10 LPA

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse project specifications, P&IDs, and BOQs to identify mechanical procurement requirements.

Identify and prequalify reliable suppliers for mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, valves, piping, tanks, and other WTP-related components.

Manage vendor evaluation, audits, and selection processes

Prepare RFQs/RFPs and technical/commercial bid evaluations, Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment terms, and contract clauses with vendors.

Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and track deliveries.

Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure technical compliance.

Monitor procurement costs and ensure alignment with project budgets.

Ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

Maintain accurate procurement records, PO logs, and material tracking sheets and provide regular procurement progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is Mandatory.

-Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical procurement for EPC/Infrastructure projects, preferably in Water Treatment Plants.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in WTPs including pumps, valves, compressors, piping systems, etc.
