Job Description

Maintenance Strategy Development: Formulate and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy tailored to foundry operations, focusing on minimizing downtime and ensuring the reliability of casting and molding equipment.

Budget Management: Develop and oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while maintaining operational efficiency and equipment reliability.

Policy Implementation: Establish and enforce maintenance policies and procedures specific to the foundry environment, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to address the unique wear and tear on foundry equipment, reducing the risk of unplanned downtime.

Corrective Maintenance: Oversee the immediate repair and troubleshooting of critical equipment such as furnaces, molds, sand mixers, and cooling systems when failures occur.

Inspection and Testing: Regularly inspect and test foundry equipment to identify potential issues early and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to handle the specific challenges of foundry equipment.

Skill Development: Provide specialized training and development opportunities to keep the maintenance team proficient in the latest foundry technologies and maintenance techniques.

Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment, particularly given the hazardous conditions in a foundry.
