Job Description

Responsibilities

Design & Development

Design and develop mechanical systems and components for rolling stock( Interior and Sanitary )
Prepare and review 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Ensure compliance with railway standards such as RDSO, EN, and UIC.

 Project Management

Support project execution from concept to commissioning.
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.
Monitor project schedules, deliverables, and documentation.

 Documentation & Reporting

Prepare technical documentation such as design reports, test plans, and inspection checklists.
Maintain configuration management and revision control of design files.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

Technical Skills

Essential skills

Proficiency in CAD software ( SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or AutoCAD).
Knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, HyperMesh) preferred.
Understanding of railway mechanical systems and standards.
Familiarity with material selection, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Project coordination and vendor management experience.

Experience

8–10 years in railway / rolling stock / heavy engineering industry.
