Mechanical Engineer – Manufacturing

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with hands-on exposure to grinding machines and other production machinery. The role involves designing, improving, maintaining, and supervising mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment to ensure smooth operations, high efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and improve mechanical components, equipment, and machinery used in the production process.

Supervise smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of grinding machines and other manufacturing machines.

Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the production team for machinery-related issues.

Ensure all mechanical systems and equipment comply with quality standards and safety regulations.

Manage mechanical engineering projects from planning to execution, including coordination with cross-functional teams.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as manuals, specifications, SOPs, and maintenance procedures.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and industrial regulations.

Liaise closely with the production team to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Accountability

Overall responsibility for smooth operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

Hands-on experience with grinding machines (mandatory).

Experience working with other production machinery and equipment.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting.

Exposure to automation or robotics is an added advantage.

Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.

Familiarity with industry safety standards and statutory regulations.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication, coordination, and project management abilities.

Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹36,356.18 per month
