Mechanical Engineer - HVAC

You are being offered a position as a Mechanical Engineer HVAC with a focus on industrial manufacturing projects at Mott MacDonald. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems for plant buildings, control rooms, and equipment enclosures. You will ensure that these systems meet project specifications, energy efficiency standards, and environmental regulations. Additionally, you will coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of the HVAC scope. You will also be responsible for conducting site inspections, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems, troubleshooting HVAC-related issues, and preparing technical documentation such as layouts, load calculations, ducting plans, and O&M manuals. Monitoring HVAC system performance and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards will also be part of your role, along with supporting procurement activities by evaluating equipment specifications and vendor proposals. Qualifications required for this role include a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial projects sector, a BE/BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering, and strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards such as ISHRAE, ASHRAE, and NBC. Proficiency in HVAC design tools and software like HAP, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP is essential, and familiarity with renewable energy project environments is considered a plus. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills are also necessary for this position.
