Mechanical Engineer- COE Seeker

Purpose / Objective

The Mechanical Engineer in the CoE Seeker role plays a critical part in ensuring the mechanical reliability and performance of missile seeker systems. This includes routine maintenance, inspections, and testing. The role involves close collaboration with engineering teams to support the design, development, and production of advanced missile technologies, contributing to India's aerial defense capabilities. Strong proficiency in CAD tools, mechanical design principles, and hands-on machining experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Skilled in CAD software and basic simulation tools for mechanical design.
• Capable of selecting suitable materials for specific defense applications.
• Applies core mechanical engineering principles to missile and seeker system projects.
• Experience in designing and working with precision fixtures such as gimbals and three-axis machined components.
• Independently performs structural analysis using tools like Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Hands-on experience in machining operations including drilling, cutting, and shaping.
• Familiarity with thermal simulations and interpreting thermal analysis results.
• Conducts material testing independently, including composite materials used in missile systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and technical schematics.
• Proficient in assembling and integrating mechanical subsystems for defense platforms.
• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques and quality control processes.
• Basic understanding of non-destructive testing methods such as UT (Ultrasonic Testing), DPT (Dye Penetrant Testing), and tensile strength testing.
• Familiarity with CG (Center of Gravity) and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) measurements.
• Effectively communicates technical details and project updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educational Qualification

  : B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience

  : 3 to 6 years in relevant mechanical engineering roles, preferably in defense or aerospace sectors.
