📌 Role Overview

A Mechanical Draftsman is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and blueprints that serve as the foundation for manufacturing mechanical equipment, tools, and systems. They work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, safe, and efficient.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Design

Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Convert engineers’ sketches and specifications into precise schematics.

Collaboration

Work with engineers, architects, and project managers to refine designs.

Ensure drawings meet industry standards and project requirements.

Documentation

Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and updates.

Prepare layouts, assembly instructions, and production plans.

Quality Assurance

Check dimensions, tolerances, and materials for accuracy.

Revise drawings based on feedback and technical changes.

Support Manufacturing

Provide technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly.

Assist in troubleshooting design issues during production.
