Job Description

Role Overview: You are being hired as a Sr. Engineer Mechanical (Packages) for Australia Mining Infrastructure Projects at WSP India. Your main responsibility will be to design piping, static & rotary equipment in compliance with WSP Engineering and Client Standards. Your role will require in-depth knowledge of piping design codes, process engineering principles, and international codes and standards. You will be working collaboratively with a motivated and highly successful team in Australia at Bangalore/Noida/Mumbai location. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop piping systems and components, review detailed piping layout drawings, and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. - Provide expert guidance in the selection and specification of rotating equipment like pumps, compressors, and blowers, including reviewing design specifications, vendor management, and technical evaluations. - Prepare valve material specifications, datasheets for piping special items, RFQs for piping bulk items, and carry out technical evaluations of vendor offers. - Develop inspection and testing plans for tanks and vessels, complete a high-quality self-check of own work, and report progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. - Communicate with internal peers and project team, participate in the design process, ensure quality procedures are implemented, and provide regular work status updates. - Coordinate with Australian lead offices, identify improvements to enhance WSP service to clients, and maintain strong colleague relationships for client satisfaction. Qualifications Required: - 10-14 years of experience in piping, static, rotary equipment engineering. - Minimum of a bachelor's degree & preferred master's degree in mechanical engineering. - Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with working in a LEAN environment. - Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a P. ENG qualification being an added advantage.,
