Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in machine design. The ideal candidate should possess strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering and be passionate about developing efficient, innovative, and reliable mechanical systems for industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for custom machinery or automation systems.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of design.
• Perform basic calculations for strength, motion, and tolerance analysis.
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation.
• Support the documentation of design processes, BOMs, and change management.
• Review and improve existing machine designs for performance and cost optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in machine design, preferably in industrial automation or special purpose machinery.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and sheet metal.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to pneumatic/hydraulic systems and actuators.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Experience working with assembly teams or on shop floor troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with FEA or motion analysis tools is a plus.

Pay: ₹12,022.46 - ₹15,000.00 per month
