Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities Inspect raw materials, mechanical parts, electronic components, and subassemblies upon receipt. Use tools such as vernier callipers, micrometers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters to verify dimensional, electrical, and mechanical compliance. Compare received parts against engineering drawings, datasheets, and quality specifications. Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all inspections. Log non-conformances in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). Verify supplier certifications (e.g., Certificates of Conformance, test reports, RoHS/REACH compliance). Ensure materials meet UAV industry standards and internal quality requirements (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming items. Support root cause analysis for defective incoming materials. Work closely with supply chain, quality engineering, and production teams to resolve discrepancies. Communicate with suppliers regarding defects or deviations. Support quality audits and process improvements. Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and tools. Ensure instruments are in good working condition and follow calibration schedules. Suggest and support initiatives for improving incoming inspection processes. Assist in the development and revision of inspection procedures and work instructions Qualifications Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical, related field. 3-5 years of Experience Skills And Abilities Proficient in Visual, dimensional and Functional inspection methods Ability to inspect Mechanical, Electronic, and Composite of UAV parts. Familiarity with acceptance criteria for precision machined components of UAV. Skilled with tools such as Micrometer, calliper, height gauge, multimeters, Optical Comparator and Pin Gauges Able to read and Interpret Engineering drawings, BOM and Assembly drawings Understanding of Quality standards like ISO9001 & AS 9100. Role Objective: As the Senior Robotics Engineer - UAV Systems , you will take part in the development of robotic software systems with a focus on PX4 integration and ROS2-based architectures. You will be responsible for enabling autonomous navigation, control, and mission execution for our UAV platforms. This role demands hands-on system design, sensor fusion, and modular development for field-ready deployment. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Architect and develop robotic software using ROS2 for UAV control, perception, and planning. Integrate PX4 autopilot with ROS2 nodes for autonomous navigation and telemetry handling. Develop sensor interfaces and fusion algorithms for GNSS, IMU, LiDAR, cameras , and other UAV-mounted sensors. Create reusable, real-time, and scalable software modules for guidance and control. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and store raw materials, electronic components, hardware, mechanical parts, and sub-assemblies. Issue materials to production based on work orders or indents, ensuring FIFO and proper documentation. Maintain minimum and reorder stock levels of critical items. Goods Receipt & Inspection Coordination: Coordinate with quality control for inward inspection and GRN creation. Ensure items received are as per PO specifications and report any discrepancies. About The Role We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on CAD experience and a passion for UAV development. The ideal candidate will have a background in aerospace mechanical design , with direct experience designing fixed-wing aircraft, multirotors, and mechanical sub-systems . You will work closely with cross-functional teams in composites, manufacturing, avionics, and systems integration to translate aerodynamic and structural requirements into manufacturable designs. Key Responsibilities Design and develop UAV structures, mechanisms, and components for fixed-wing and multirotor platforms. Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks. Collaborate with aerodynamics and composites teams to optimize designs for weight, manufacturability, and structural integrity. Support mould and tool design for composite fabrication and part manufacturing. Perform tolerance analysis, design validation, and integration of mechanical subsystems (actuators, payload mounts, landing gear, etc.). Work with CAM and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless transition from design to production. Participate in design reviews, prototype testing, and continuous improvement of airframe configurations. Maintain documentation, BOMs, and revision control in alignment with company configuration management standards.
