Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafting and Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings and designs for various projects using specialized software. This role requires a strong understanding of drafting principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into precise, technical documents. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for new and existing projects. Expertly use AutoCAD Plant 3D to design piping, instrumentation, and plant layouts, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and project specifications. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings. Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards and project specifications. Maintain organized files and documentation of all design and drafting work. Identify and resolve design-related issues and propose effective solutions. Keep up-to-date with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Drafting and Design Engineer, or a similar role. Mandatory: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D. Strong understanding of drafting principles, including dimensioning, tolerance, and geometric design. Experience with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
