Mechanical Assembly Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembly Engineer with expertise in Special Purpose Machines (SPM) who can handle assembly, testing, installation, and service support. The candidate must have strong hands-on skills, knowledge of mechanical components, and experience in machine proving and commissioning at customer sites.   Responsibilities Assembly & Integration:      Carry out mechanical assembly of SPMs as per engineering drawings. Assemble, align, and integrate sub-assemblies such as fixtures, conveyors, servo pressing units, glue dispensing machines, and leak testing stations. Ensure proper alignment, torqueing, and functional accuracy of all assemblies. Technical Expertise: Read and interpret 2D/3D mechanical drawings, BOMs, and assembly guidelines. Knowledge of linear motion elements, bearings, rails, sprockets, guide rods, chains, and couplings Understanding of leak testing process, servo press machines, glue dispensing systems, and conveyors. Basic knowledge of machining processes (drilling, tapping, grinding, etc.) for rework/adjustments. Machine Prove-Out & Quality:     Responsible for complete prove-out of machines as per customer requirements. Conduct functional trials, debugging, and validation of SPM performance. Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality compliance during assembly and testing. Installation, Commissioning & Services Perform machine installation and commissioning at customer sites. Provide on-site service support and troubleshooting when required. Coordinate with design, electrical, and automation teams for seamless integration. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of assembly procedures, modifications, and service activities. Prepare technical reports for trials, testing, and installation. Skills 1.      Strong hands-on experience in SPM assembly and commissioning. 2.      Knowledge of leak testing, servo pressing machines, conveyors, and glue dispensing systems. 3.      Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. 4.      Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer handling skills. 5.      Willingness to travel for installation and service support.
