Materials Manager

As a Materials Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process to ensure the availability of the right materials at the right time, in the right quantities, and at the right cost. Your role will involve managing inventory, purchasing, and logistics to facilitate smooth operations. Key Responsibilities: - Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, optimize stock levels, and prevent waste or shortages. - Purchasing & Sourcing: Identify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and place purchase orders for materials and supplies. - Logistics: Coordinate the movement and storage of materials, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution. - Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with other departments to optimize the supply chain process for timely delivery and cost minimization. - Quality Control: Inspect materials for quality and ensure they meet specifications. - Financial Management: Manage budgets related to material procurement and inventory. - Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead and manage a team of material handlers, warehouse staff, or other personnel involved in materials management. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in materials management or a related field. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. - Proficiency in data analysis and supply chain software. - Leadership and team management skills.
