Materials Manager

Experience: 10+ years in materials management (manufacturing industry)
Education: Degree in Business, Engineering, or Materials Management (APICS/CPM preferred)

Role Overview:

This leadership role oversees end-to-end materials management for the divisioncovering planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and material flow automation. The role is key to achieving on-time deliveries, optimizing inventory and cost, and implementing lean practices across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead materials planning, inventory control, warehousing, and shipments
• Ensure uninterrupted material flow and on-time delivery to customers
• Implement lean tools: KANBAN, MRP, ePFEP, QR code-based tracking
• Drive automation initiatives in warehousing and material flow
• Collaborate on supply planning, logistics, and cost optimization
• Maintain high data integrity in the MRP system
• Supervise and coach the materials team
• Support audit, compliance, and corporate inventory control standards
• Define department budgets and drive cost-reduction programs
• Benchmark best practices in materials management and implement improvements

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of MRP, JIT, inventory systems, and lean manufacturing
• Experience in freight cost savings and supplier audits
• Hands-on with Microsoft tools and ERP systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
