Marketing Specialist cum Librarian

Position Overview:

The Librarian & Marketing Specialist at Mount Litera Zee School plays a dynamic dual role — initially leading the school’s marketing and outreach initiatives, followed by the management and development of the school library. The position requires a creative, organized, and tech-savvy professional who can effectively promote the school’s vision and later foster a culture of reading and learning among students.

Phase 1: Marketing Specialist (December 2025 – April 2026)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance the school’s visibility and enrollment.
• Plan and manage admission campaigns, open houses, and community engagement events.
• Create promotional content for social media, print, and digital platforms.
• Coordinate with vendors, designers, and media outlets for advertisements and publicity materials.
• Maintain and update the school’s website and social media handles.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with the academic and administrative teams to align marketing initiatives with the school’s brand identity and values.
• Build relationships with parents, alumni, and local community organizations to strengthen the school’s reputation.

Phase 2: Librarian (Post-April 2026)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, organize, and maintain the school’s library resources, both physical and digital.
• Assist students and staff in locating and effectively using library materials.
• Foster reading habits and information literacy through programs, book fairs, and reading challenges.
• Develop and implement library policies, cataloging systems, and record-keeping procedures.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom learning.
• Introduce students to digital literacy tools and online research platforms.
• Maintain an inviting and inclusive environment that promotes curiosity and lifelong learning.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent organizational and information management abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for education and literacy.
• Familiarity with library software, cataloging systems, and digital resources.
• Ability to design engaging reading programs and literacy events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience in marketing, public relations, or educational outreach.
• Previous experience in school library management or information services preferred.
