Job Description

• Lead all In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA) and final inspection activities within the engine production facility.
  
• Ensure zero-defect products reach the customer by enforcing rigorous manufacturing standards, driving real-time process control, and leading rapid containment of production non-conformances.
• This role is critical for maximizing First Time Through (FTT) yield and protecting the brand's reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Manage the In-Process and Final Inspection teams. Ensure all assembly stages meet engineering specifications and that automated/manual test stations (e.g., leak tests, torque checks) are validated and calibrated.
• Process Control & SPC: Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) to identify trends before they result in defects.
• Lead the application of Control Plans and PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) on the shop floor.
• Non-Conformance Management: Own the internal Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process for the production line.
• Lead the "Material Review Board" (MRB) to ensure timely disposition (Rework, Scrap, or UAI) of defective assemblies.
• Root Cause Analysis: Drive structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone) for internal escapes and production line stops.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to implement permanent corrective actions and "poka-yoke" (error-proofing) solutions.
• QMS & Audit Compliance: Maintain manufacturing procedures compliant with IATF 16949.
• Lead regular layered process audits (LPA) to ensure operators are adhering to standardized work instructions.
• Continuous Improvement Metrics: Monitor and report on key manufacturing quality KPIs, including First Time Through (FTT), Scrap Rate, and Rework Hours.
