Manual Software Tester

We are seeking a junior manual tester with at least 1 year of experience and an intention to join us immediately. The role is best for a versatile and curious person with a sharp logical mind capable of quick learning and critical thinking.

Roorides is a 4-year-old software division of NVS Travel Solutions which is a 18 year old transport firm that caters to over 30+ schools and corporations which includes thousands of employees and parents, currently resulting in over 20000+ active users. Our application is also used by over 1000+ blue-collar stakeholders like site supervisors, drivers and attenders. We pride ourselves on providing a top-notch feature-rich product with exceptional code quality. We are a 7 member highly passionate agile team focused on building new technology solutions for the transportation industry. We are rapidly expanding to top schools, corporations, and new cities, keeping the kids safe, employees reaching the office on time and parents reassured.

Responsibilities:

1. 
   

   To Take OWNERSHIP OF THE PRODUCT QUALITY & Ensuring Bug Free Deployments



2. 
   

   To write Required Test Documentation Before And After Testing.



3. 
   

   To Methodologically perform Testing Activities in Adherence to process



4. 
   

   Take Ownership and understand the user needs Predict expected product behaviour



5. 
   

   To Plan testing activities, set expectations with stakeholders and execute test plans on schedule.

What your day-to-day tasks would be:

1. 
   

   Join a daily scrum, share your plan for the day, and highlight blockers.



2. 
   

   Write test scenarios, perform tests and update results in Confluence.



3. 
   

   Reach out to the business team and or tech team if you need any help or clarification during the day.



4. 
   

   Track and update your work on JIRA



5. 
   

   Join weekly sprint reviews or retrospectives.



6. 
   

   Take up tasks based on the priority based on your bandwidth and confidence

Criterias:

• 
  

  Manual Testing Ability to work independently as a tester



• 
  

  Ability to write Effective and crisp test documentation



• 
  

  Familiarity with SDLC, TDD, test planning, creating & executing test strategies.



• 
  

  Solid communication and comprehension of user needs product behaviour and bugs



• 
  

  Jira, Confluence, Postman.



• 
  

  Familiar with Mobile Application Testing (Android/IOS)



• Based in Bangalore
